Kia Motors India has revealed images of the cabin of the Kia Sonet that shed a lot of details of the upcoming compact-SUV. These new images also give a proper taste of what the Kia Sonet will look like on the inside.
The cabin of the Kia Sonet features vertically framed air vents on the dashboard will be decorated with a metallic, diamond-knurled pattern. Besides that, it will be equipped with high-quality materials, a digital instrument cluster, a first-in-segment 10.25-inch HD touchscreen with navigation, UVO Connected system, sound mood lighting, etc. Other provisions will include steering wheel-mounted controls, different drive and traction modes, etc.
On the outside, the Kia
Sonet will feature Kia’s distinctive design DNA integrating the brand’s signature styling traits such as the iconic ‘tiger-nose’ grille, with a 3D ‘stepwell’ geometric grille mesh, and sleek LED headlamps with toothed LED DRLs giving it a bolder presence.
On the profile, the Kia Sonet gets a set of flashy alloy wheels and the reverse-inclined C-pillar which have been incorporated straight from the concept version as well. At the rear, it sports LED taillights connected by an LED strip, wraparound rear windscreen, and black cladding.
The Kia Sonet is expected to come with 3 engine options – 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L turbo-diesel. These motors will put out a peak power output of 83 bhp, 120 bhp, and 100 bhp, respectively. The transmission options on the Sonet will comprise of a 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT. The Kia Sonet will go head to head with the Hyundai Venue, which it borrows its underpinnings from.
